The Forest Rights Act confers owner ship rights to communities inside forests. The Act also provides for keeping areas inside forests as inviolate for the sake of conservation of wildlife.
While the government has gone ahead with conferring ownership rights to forest dwellers, it has failed to address the aspect of declaring critical wildlife habitats which are areas meant to be kept free from anthropogenic pressures.

Hon`ble High Court of Bombay.
The matter is being heard.
